Kim Yang’s single Fantasy inspired dreamlike imagery, asking in the lyrics ‘Is this a dream or is this a fantasy?’. We wanted to create two separate worlds, one dream and one reality that Kim lives in throughout this film. Kim goes on this journey through contemporary dance, at first still, then slowly transitioning into full dance as the character becomes familiar and comfortable with the surrounds. While the two worlds begin as separate places, the line between dream/fantasy and reality becomes hard to distinguish.
